Job Description

As a Children’s Support Worker, you will play a vital role in supporting children and young people who may have experienced trauma, disruption, or complex life circumstances. Working within residential or supported living settings, you will help create a safe, nurturing, and structured environment that enables young people to feel secure, valued, and supported. You will be involved in the day‑to‑day care and emotional support of children and young people, promoting positive routines, boundaries, and behaviours. This role requires patience, empathy, and resilience, alongside the ability to remain calm and professional in challenging situations. Support Workers are expected to act as positive role models, helping young people develop life skills, confidence, and independence while maintaining a strong focus on safeguarding, consistency, and trust. You will work closely with colleagues, senior staff, and external professionals to ensure each child receives the highest standard of care and support. As these are temp‑to‑perm opportunities, you will initially be engaged through Royal Educare, with the potential to move into a permanent position with the client following a successful placement. This offers flexibility alongside the opportunity for long‑term stability and progression.
