The History of Royal Educare

To celebrate the 4th year Anniversary of Royal Educare, we thought we’d share our journey. Royal Educare launched in June 2017 under the former name of Royal Healthcare. The name was then changed to Royal Educare 1 year later as we launched into recruiting within the special education needs sector.
Our founders are brother and sister duo, Alex Williams and Victoria Beacham, who initially launched and run Royal Educare from a dining room table. Alex Williams had previously worked in educational recruitment, before having the vision of launching his own company in the health and social care. Victoria Beacham previously worked in social care and studied ‘health and social care management’ to originally become a care home manager. She then used her knowledge and experience to co found Royal Educare with Alex. In the very early stages of starting up the company, Victoria decided to leave Alex for a few weeks to run the business from a cubby hole under his stairs, whilst she soaked up the sun in Cape Verde (And he won’t let her forget it!).
Their first ever Recruitment Fair was at Bridgend College, where they signed up several amazing social care professionals, and from there, the company began to grow! They soon welcomed their first ever client who were a private care home in the seaside town of Porthcawl and without the support of this client, Royal Educare might not be where it is today.
The Founders strongly believe in leading from the front and very quickly wanted to give their in-house team the same flexibility as they had running the business, so within the 1st year of trading, offered a flexible – work life balance be providing home and office based working structures. Royal Educare has always strived to be innovative and create a business that stands for the future. Every system and process within the business has been designed and created to differentiate us from the competition.
Within less than a year of trading, Royal Educare won their first award which was the ‘Best Start Up Business – South Wales – 2018’. They soon won their second award as the ‘Family Business of the Year – Wales’. In 2020, Royal Educare were shortlisted for 4 categories with the Business Growth Awards – Business Service Excellence, Innovative, Visionary Leadership, People Development – Watch this space! Royal Educare also actively hold fundraising events to give something back to the community. Our biggest achievements were raising £1,800 for a homeless charity, walking Pen Y Fan and sponsoring the Veterans Awards.
Now the team at Royal Educare consists of Alex Williams, Victoria Beacham, Paul Beasley, Leah Williams, Liam Sarginson, Luke Davies, Kelsey Duffill and Ieuan Thomas. This dream team are constantly going above and beyond to create great professional relationships with clients and helping health care professionals find their dream jobs!
Funny Fact – Alex the founder once emailed himself some great ideas for the business after a few beverages at an awards night in London, which got sent to the whole team and made absolutely no sense. To this day, he still doesn’t know what these ‘Great’ ideas were!
